My parents home has been damaged and unlivable since Rita. My family has tried their best to do all we can to fix the house so they could live in it, but they did not have insurance and money was and is short.

Some wonderful people have helped along the way, most coming from far away and even bringing their own crews and supplies. Still the house was not finished. Nehemiah's Vision in Vidor has helped, in the beginning they donated 75 sheets of sheet rock and now they have contacted my parents again. Because of Nehemiah's Vision the Hilcrest Baptist Church in Nederland has taken up the fight. They have been working all week, doing plumbing, cleaning the yard, painting, floating sheet rock, installing a bath tub....the list goes on.
I want to make sure that people out there know that this church has helped my parents even though my parents go to another church. They are doing this with their own supplies and without expecting anything in return.
The MidCounty Chronicle has interviewed my father and some of the crew, but I wanted to let everyone know that me and my family can't thank them enough.
