Nine members of "Scooter Club Golden Triangle" from Texas and Louisiana participated in the "Sandblast Rally II" which took place on Galveston Island from April 10th to April 13th, 2008. The weekend-long event included many beautiful rides criss-crossing the island; scooter show; skills events such as the Slow Race, Gymkhana, Scooter Jousting, and Drag Racing. Members of the scooter club camped out during the event the "old skool" rally style in spite of the howling winds and "frigid" nights. All returned safely home after the event is over. It was the club's second appearance at the Sandblast Rally.
