Horford returns for Hawks, O'Neal back for Heat

Ashly Elam

ATLANTA (AP) - Miami center Jermaine O'Neal was back in uniform
for the deciding game of the series against Atlanta, and the Hawks'
front line was bolstered by the return of Al Horford.
Neither played in Miami's Game 6 victory. O'Neal was still
feeling the effects of a concussion from the previous game, while
Horford was hobbled by a sprained right ankle.
Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said less than two hours before the
game that O'Neal had not been cleared by team doctors and would not
play. But, after working out for about 20 minutes on the court, the
12-year veteran was listed on the active roster.
The Hawks were less clandestine about Horford, saying the day
before that the second-year center would start even though his
ankle was still hurting.
