NEW ORLEANS (AP) - A former point guard at the University of the
New Orleans and his current business partner are donating 1 million
dollars to the Privateers' basketball program.
The donation by Gabe Corchiani and John Georges will be spread
over five years.
The money will help enhance renovations to the team's locker
room, including a players' lounge and video room, athletic director
Jim Miller said.
The infusion of cash also will allow the Privateers to play a
preseason exhibition tournament in Cancun, Mexico.
