Ashly Elam

DALLAS (AP) - Texas A&M and Rice were among the 16 regional
hosts announced today for the first round of the NCAA baseball
tournament.
Both schools will host regionals for the second consecutive
year. It's the seventh time the Aggies have hosted a regional.
Texas wasn't named as a regional host despite winning the Big 12
title Sunday. The victory secured the Longhorns' 50th NCAA
tournament bid.
The field of 64 teams will be announced tomorrow.
The other regional hosts are North Carolina, Miami, Florida
State, North Carolina State, Nebraska, Oklahoma State, Cal State
Fullerton, Long Beach State, Arizona State, Stanford, Georgia, LSU,
Coastal Carolina and Michigan.
