Baylor breaks 13-game Big 12 losing streak

Ashly Elam

WACO, Texas (AP) - Baylor freshman quarterback Robert Griffin
led the Bears to their first win in the Big 12 in two years today.
Griffin was 21-of-24 passing for 278 yards with two touchdowns
to Kendall Wright, ran for another score, and Makail Baker returned
the second-half kickoff 93 yards to the end zone as the Bears beat
Iowa State 38-10 Saturday night to end a 13-game conference losing
streak.
A week after losing to No. 1 Oklahoma in their Big 12 opener,
the Bears (3-3, 1-1 Big 12) never trailed Iowa State. Baylor's last
conference victory had been 36-35 over Kansas on Oct. 22, 2006.
