No. 1 Sooners could be healed in time for Texas

Ashly Elam

NORMAN, Okla. (AP) - Coach Bob Stoops expects Number 1 Oklahoma to be at full strength this Saturday when the Sooners face
fifth-ranked Texas in the annual Red River Rivalry game.
Although defensive tackle Gerald McCoy and center Jon Cooper
sustained minor injuries against Baylor, Stoops said both could
return this week to face the Longhorns.
The Sooners might even have injured defensive linemen Demarcus
Granger and Frank Alexander back. Sttops said today that that
everyone is expected to play - except for third-string tight end
Eric Mensik and reserve cornerback Jonathan Nelson.
