News KBMT

Orange County Health Officials say a 49-year-old woman has died from complications related to the H1N1 virus.

Family members of 49-year-old Terri Tomlinson confirm she died of swine flu a little over two weeks ago leaving behind three children.

Family members say she entered an Orange County hospital on October 8 and she passed away on October 14.

Now 77-year-old Leonard Yockachonis will have to take care of his three young children in his home.

He has turned his living room and dining room into makeshift bedrooms.

"The kids were her life," said Leonard Yockachonis. "The kids were absolutely her life and she was taken from us.."

The Orange County Health Department says she died from respiratory failure and pneumonia, not the swine flu. But the family sees thing differently.

"We are working to amend the death certificate," added Yockachonis.

Yockachonis says his son John will be moving home from California to help raise the kids.

You can help Tomlinson's children by donating to a fund that has been set up at the Firestone Credit Union in Orange, under John Yockachonis.

The Orange County Health Department says it is completely out the H1N1 vaccine, but they expect to get 150 dosages in the next two weeks.

Health officials urge you to call 211 to find out where you may be able to get the swine flu vaccine.
