Search Continues For Missing Navy Plane

Bryan Rupp

The United States Coast Guard continues to search for a Navy plane and two pilots who failed to return from a flight in the Gulf of Mexico off the coast of Corpus Christi.

The search began yesterday afternoon when Naval Air Station Corpus Christi lost contact with the crew of the Navy T-34 training aircraft.

The plane's last known position was near San Jose Island east of Rockport about two miles off shore.

Several Coast Guard crews from the Texas gulf coast are involved in the search.

Some private helicopter crews are also helping.
