Former Beaumont Mayor Weighs In On Fort Hood Tragedy

The shooting rampage has frustrated many servicemen including former Beaumont Mayor Jimmie Cokinos who served in the 1st Cavalry Division in the 40's.

Fort Hood is best known as the headquarters of the 1st Cavalry Division. 92-year-old Jimmie Cokinos served in the division during the 40's, and back then, the division was stationed in El Paso. where soldiers rode on horses.

"I feel for the families right now," said a very upset Cokinos Thursday night. "You say it couldn't happen in America,but by God it did!"

Every year there is a reunion held at Fort Hood for Veterans.
