Bridge City Woman Found Dead in Ditch After Argument With Husband

The Orange county sheriff's office is investigating the death of a woman who was found in a ditch early Sunday, November 1.

The ditch is in the 8800 block of Cajun Way in Orangefield.

The victim has been identified as 42-year-old Laura Russell.

According to Russell's husband the two had an argument on Halloween night while returning home from a party.

He said that his wife got out of the car and he went home.

He told police when he returned he found his wife dead in the ditch.

Authorities say at this time foul play does not appear to be involved and an autopsy has been ordered.

Did anyone get to go to the service? Even though the family in CA didn't get to go, I hear they paid for the entire funeral. Hopefully Laura will rest in peace and Joe never will.

Thanks rickyman! The family from CA did not get to go to her funeral. Our hearts are broken. He did plan it without making sure that we all could be there. Hope it was as beautiful as she was. She was very special to us.
