Mauriceville Opens New Police Sub-Station

Bryan Rupp

Mauriceville now has a new weapon to fight crime; a new substation.

The new Orange county sheriff's office has a brand new substation on highway 62, across from the Market Basket.

Sheriff Keith Merritt says he has been waiting for this sub station to open for a long time.

Merritt also said that this will make it easier to fight rural crime.

Orange county has not had a sub station since the original one was damaged in Hurricane Rita.
