The storm system responsible for yesterday's heavy rainfall continues to move away from Southeast Texas. Cooler weather is expected today before the next weather system affects Southeast Texas Thursday and Friday. The weekend still looks great.
This morning, low cloudiness and patchy drizzle will hang on across Southeast Texas through late-morning. Decreasing afternoon cloudiness is forecasted with sunny skies developing. Chill temperatures will gradually warm to the middle-sixties in the Lakes to near-seventy in the Triangle. Northwest-to-westerly winds are forecasted.
Tonight will be a chilly night. Morning lows will drop into the middle-forties in the Lakes Area to near-fifty in the Triangle under clear skies.
Wednesday will be just the opposite of Tuesday. We'll start out with sunny skies and then cloudiness will move in during the afternoon hours. A breezy southerly wind off the Gulf of Mexico will drive deep moisture into the area. Afternoon high temperatures will warm to near eighty.
Thursday, another cold front will move into range generating a ninety-percent chance of rain and thunderstorms. Morning low temperatures will warm to the lower-seventies with afternoon highs warming into the upper-seventies.
The front will sweep through Southeast Texas Friday Morning with a ninety-percent chances of rain and thunderstorms. High temperatures will occur in the morning prior to the front's arrival...near seventy-three. After the front, northwesterly winds will cause falling temperatures during the afternoon hours and will likely fall back into the middle-sixties.
Sunny skies are forecasted for Halloween Saturday. After a cool start of near-fifty, afternoon high temperatures will warm to the upper-seventies with low humidity. Don't forget to "Fall back" one hour before you go to bed as Daylight Saving Time ends.
Sunday & Monday look just as great as Saturday with sunny skies and low humidity. Low temperatures will drop into the middle-fifties with afternoon highs in the upper-seventies.
