David Ingram

Two Silsbee women are held on a half-million dollars bond each after sheriff’s deputies say they were arrested for being involved in the sale of “designer drugs.”

Hardin County Sheriff Ed Cain tells 12 News investigators from his department along with the Silsbee Police and Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives executed a search warrant Wednesday night in the 1600 block of Highway 96 South in Silsbee. Once inside the home, investigators found a large amount of Ecstasy and 92 bags of marijuana that had been packaged for resale. Investigators also found nearly $1,000 in cash.

Two women who were at the home were arrested. Deputies identify them as Anna Marie Vaughn, 31, and Maria Alicia Gonzales, 43. Both women are Silsbee Residents.

A news release from the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office says law enforcement has received numerous complaints about the house. Those complaints sparked a 6-month investigation in which undercover officers bought narcotics from the house.

I have no compassion on people that are involved in either selling or using drugs. If our children can't look up to us as adults to teach them about the danger of this sick activity, then who can they look up to? I WANT JUSTICE TO BE DONE CONCERNING THIS.
