Village Mills House A Total Loss Following Wednesday-Morning Fire

Hardin County Firefighters say there are no injuries following a blaze that completely destroyed a house in Village Mills.

The fire was reported around 7:30 a.m. Wednesday on Neushafer Rd. off of State Highway 69 North of Kountze. When emergency crews arrived the structure was fully engulfed in flames.

Two people were at home when the fire erupted. Both of the people from the house were able to escape unharmed.

Firemen on the scene say the house is a total loss. It is not yet known what started the fire.
