Grass Fires Plague Southeast Texas

David Ingram
Bryan Rupp

Dry conditions around southeast Texas are keeping fire crews on alert.

Beaumont firemen worked a grass fire just before 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 15, 2009 off of Concord road.

The number of grass and brush fires across the region is up because of weather conditions.

Most of the state remains under a burn ban because of dry weather.
