A Southeast Texas mother whose daughter was killed nearly 14 years ago is speaking out following the arrest of a Deweyville man accused in her death.

Laura Badeaux is the mother of Theresa Foskey, 28. Foskey was killed September 1995. Her body was later found in the Sabine River near Deweyville. Investigators say her killer took her life at her Bridge City mobile home, and then dismembered her body before dumping her remains.

Last week an Orange County Grand Jury handed up an indictment against James Edward Holden, 41, of Deweyville. The one-count indictment charges Holden with capital murder.

Holden remains in the Orange County Jail. A Justice of the Peace has denied his bond.

Tuesday Theresa's mother released the following statement:

I have waited nearly 14 years for the person responsible for stabbing and butchering my daughter, Theresa Foskey, to be apprehended.
My family has endured significant hardship over the years waiting for this day to come.
Holidays, birthdays and anniversaries are a nightmare and will remain so for the rest of my life. Not a day goes by that I don't think of her.
I can only hope no other parent will have to endure this type of pain. As a mother, I regret I wasn't able to be there for her on the night she was murdered. Life without her is full of torment and blame.
Theresa has two grandchildren she never had the chance to see much less to see her own daughters grow up to become young women.
She was a happy, giving person and loved by many.
I will not rest until I see justice served for my daughter.
