David Ingram

Jefferson County authorities say they do not have a cause of death for a worker found Wednesday, June 24, 2009 unresponsive at the Huntsman Facility on FM 366 in Port Neches.

According to Jefferson County Sheriff's Deputy Brent Weaver a co-worker called 9-1-1 saying he found the man lying near a railcar around 7:15 a.m. Deputies, EMS and the fire department personnel responded, but the man could not be revived.

Justice of the Peace Bob Morgan was called to the scene and the man was pronounced deceased.

Deputy Weaver says circumstances surrounding the man's death are sketchy. Weaver also said it is unknown if the man was an employee of Huntsman.

The cause of death is under investigation. KBMT will have more information on this story later in the day.

I hope that Huntsman will be forthcoming with informatin as to what happened. Details as to what caused the August 21, 2008 explosion at ChemTrade in Beaumont that alsmot killed two men have not been made public to my knowledge. My heart and prayers are with this mans family and friends.
