The Hardin County Grand Jury handed up a 2-count indictment against Aaron Kyle Maddox, charging him with improper relationship with a student and indecency with a child. Mr. Maddox was a coach at Penland Middle School in Kountze.

I also went to school with him and cannot believe this? Totally out of character of him. Being so quick to judge and not knowing the truth. Prayers going out for his family as well as the girls who have made these accusations. May the truth come to light and hopefully he can get his life back. Hoping he is innocent.

Case in point the Asst. Principle in Vidor. He was acquitted of the charges but his life is ruined because of an angry student.

Man I also went to high school with Aaron and am finding it hard to believe! I know that he was a coach and also taught the ISS. Please lets not think he is guilty till all is out, lets let the courts do its job. This could be some mad students that want to retaliate against a teacher that actually had a very hard job. We have to remember that the students that go to ISS are there for a reason it is not because they were students that weren't getting into trouble.

It’s hard to believe that there are that many cases of misconduct in the field of education. You get into teaching because you love kids. It seems like this area has had an excessive number of misconduct cases over the past 4 months. Has this area become a haven for child molesters or is this an acceptable way for students to retaliate against teachers for anything the students deem unjust? It’s difficult to believe that there are that many uneducated teachers willing to risk their careers.

I am sick and tired of seeing teachers being accused of inappropriate behavior on the news! Those types of accusations should be delicately handled and not broadcasted all over southeast TX! These accusations should ONLY be news if the accused is found guilty. Teachers who are falsely accused by students of inappropriate behavior are losing jobs and having their careers ruined because of these false accusations! Once teachers are publically accused their reputations are permanently stained!

Wow! People are so quick to judge. I hope that anyone who has proven this man guilty already has a long walk in his shoes oneday. It's ok to open your mind a little wider to see the picture. We haven't heard his side yet so let our courts do there job before we lock him up for being accused.

Is the guy is completely innocent. But the school has to take action immediately to protect students, and rightfully so. If he is guilty, then he should be punished accordingly. If it was a scam by the students because they were mad at their coach, then this guy's career and personal life are tarnished at best, and more likely ruined. It's a tough spot for the school, the coach and the students (if allegations are true), and nobody will come out a winner

I hope this isn't true! I'm, in SHOCK! I went to School with Dennis and Mary and have known them my entire life. They, are good people! My son and Aaron graduated together in High school and also played football together.MY heart and thoughts go out to Aaron and his family, during these most difficult times. If these alligations are true, then there does need to be a 'consequence' for the action.

I went to school with this man. I can't grasp that he would do something so stupid and wrong. I really don't want to believe this- my heart hurts for all involved. Espically for the young women that are involved, if this is proven to be true, their lives will never be the same.
