An accident on Interstate 10 west of Beaumont Tuesday afternoon took the life of a Boerne, TX man.

Texas Department of Public Safety tells KBMT12 62-year-old John Worley died after suffering a heart attack while he was headed west, wrecking his Ford F150 pickup truck.

It happened at about 2 p.m. near the Good Year plant about 5 miles west of Beaumont. Troopers say Worley crashed into the median that separates the two lanes of traffic.

No one else was injured in the accident.

He was the finest, most generous person that I have ever know. He helped so many people both financially and through counseling and by just being a friend. My brother was much more than a brother and it will be very difficult to move forward without having him in my life. He was the greatest and I was truly blessed to have him in my life.
