David Ingram

LAKE CHARLES, La. (AP) - A 30-year-old Vinton man has been arrested and booked in the hit-and-run death of a Westlake woman.

Calcasieu Parish Sheriff Tony Mancuso says Schreve C. Bunch was booked Monday with felony hit and run death of 39-year-old Melba Hyde. Bunch was released on $10,000 bond.

Bunch turned himself in to the Ward 6 constable in DeQuincy, saying he had been involved in a hit and run accident.

The penalty for felony hitand-run includes a fine of $5,000 and up to 10 years in prison.
