Kirbyville Boil Water Order Remains in Effect

News KBMT
Bryan Rupp

The water is back on in Kirbyville, but residents are urged to boil their water before drinking or bathing.

Earlier on Thursday, March 26, 2009 workmen were fixing tanks when an eight inch water line burst at the intersection of Second and Levert Streets.

Acting Kirbyville School Superintendent Richard Hazelwood let all schools out at 1p.m. that afternoon because there was no water in the schools.

Kirbyville remains under a boil water requirement until further notice.
