Jefferson County Christmas Tree Lighting

Ceremony to start at 11 a.m. Monday

Jefferson County officials and community leaders are set to light the county Christmas tree 11 a.m. Monday.

The lighting will take place in the lobby of the New Courthouse Addition.

The granddaughter of Connie Patterson will throw the switch lighting the tree. Connie Patterson served as assistant to Pct. 4 Ed Moore, and then was appointed to the position when Commissioner Moore stepped down. She worked for Commissioner Bo Alfred until her retirement from the county in January of this year. Patterson served the county for 14 years of service.
