Vidor Man Charged in Death of Passenger

A Vidor man is charged with criminally negligent homicide after a June truck-train crash that cost a man his life.

23 Year old Earl Ray Garza is accused of causing the accident by driving his car around the cross-bars at the railroad crossing.

Garza is accused of causing the death of a 45 year old passenger.

Earlier today, Orange County district attorney John Kimbrough detailed the facts of the case with us.

The 23 year old Garza could go to jail for up to two years if convicted.
