I-10 Shut Down From Double Fatal Accident

On I 10, two people are dead as police investigate the cause a crash at Walden Road that occurred just hours ago.

Traffic was brought to an abrupt stop around 3:30 p.m. as emergency crews worked to clean up the wreck on 10 near Walden Road.

Police say the driver of a Nissan Sentra crossed the grassy median and slammed into an eastbound pickup truck.

The driver and a passenger in the nissan were pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the pickup taken to Christus St. Elizabeth.
