With the stalled front in the Gulf of Mexico washing out, southerly winds and moisture will return.
Widely scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected across the Triangle today with highs in the lower-nineties.
No rain is forecasted in the Lakes today.
Tonight will be mostly clear with lows in the lower-seventies.
Rain chances will be increasing the next five days as moisture increases.
A near-normal thirty percent coverage is forecasted under partly cloudy skies Thursday.
Friday the 4th, a forty percent coverage is expected, but most of the rain should be over by the evening hours.
Over the weekend, deeper moisture is forecasted to move off the Gulf of Mexico enhancing shower and thunderstorm activity.
An area of disturbed weather in the Far Eastern Atlantic is showing signs of strengthening and it's possible a depression could form in the next couple of days...climatelogically, this is not a normal hot spot for tropical development for July.
