Drier air filtering into Southeast Texas on the heels of July "cold" front that pushed through overnight.
That drier air will allow for what we call a greater diurnal range, meaning lows will be cooler and highs will be warmer.
Rain chances pretty much stay out of the picture until Thursday.
Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected for the 4th but precipitation should be ending by fireworks time.
A better chance of rainfall is expected Saturday as deeper moisture moves in off the Gulf of Mexico.
The Tropics are quiet.
