Beaumont Police Update on Armed Robbery

The Beaumont Police Department has issued the following update on an armed robbery that happened earlier this week.

On 06-25-08 at about 4:50 p.m., Police were dispatched to the Olive Garden Restaurant located at 585 I10N in regards to a armed robbery that had just occurred.

Upon arrival of Officers to the scene it was discovered that an employee of Olive Garden who had just completed her shift was the victim of the armed robbery. The 22 year old female victim told Officers she had just completed her shift and was about to leave the parking lot in her vehicle when she was approached by two black males, one armed with a pistol. The two suspects demanded she give them her wallet containing a large amount of cash. The victim was able to provide detailed information about the two suspects that had robbed her at gunpoint then fled the scene on foot to a nearby waiting vehicle.

The entire incident was witnessed by several other employees of the restaurant who began providing statements to Police. While gathering the witnesses statements, Police uncovered inconsistent statements and discovered a detailed plan made by the employees to rob their co-worker. Each person gave a confession to the Police detailing their roll in the Armed Robbery.

On 06-25-08 at 10:45 p.m., Adam J. McFaddin who is a 23 year old Beaumont man as well as Hillary J. Baptiste who is a 19 year old Beaumont woman and Bryan K. Briggs who is a 23 year old Beaumont man were arrested for Armed Robbery. They were transported to the Jefferson County Jail and booked in with a $50,000.00 bond.

On 06-26-08 at 1:37 a.m., Michael R. Carmen who is a 20 year old Beaumont man was also arrested for his part in the Armed Robbery at the Olive Garden. He confessed to the crime and was transported to the Jefferson County Jail and booked in with a $50,000.00 bond. Lloyd J. Guillory II who is a 20 year old Beaumont man refused to speak with Police about the incident was arrested on 06-26-08 at 8:26 p.m. for his roll in the Armed Robbery and booked into the Jefferson County Jail with a $25,000 bond and a $20,000.00 bond for a Possession of a Controlled Substance.

The stolen money and the weapon used in the robbery have not been recovered.
