Port Arthur Bandits Strike Early Saturday

Two weary travelers in Port Arthur are robbed at gunpoint. Police today are looking for their attackers.

Sergeant J. Lloyd of the Port Arthur Police Department tells KBMT two people were mugged early Saturday morning at the Port Arthur Inn in the 3800 block of Gulfway Drive. The victims told patrolmen two men, one armed with a handgun, approached them. The bandits grabbed money from the victims then fled the scene.

No one was hurt in the incident.
