Vidor Police Still at Impasse on Contract

Brian Burns

Vidor Police officers have been working for quite some time without a contract.

There are reports that at least three officers are leaving to work elsewhere.

According to CLEAT president Chris McGill, the Beaumont Police department is offering a 2 thousand dollar signing bonus and higher pay.

McGill says he isn't surprised Vidor police are looking elsewhere.

The city and the police department cannot agree on the terms of the contract.
