EasTex Crime Stoppers Now Covers 7 Counties; Among State's Biggest

EasTex Crime Stoppers has become one the biggest Crime Stoppers groups in Texas after now being joined by Chambers County.

Chambers becomes the 7th county in East Texas to join the group bringing the total number of residents covered to more than half a million.

At a ceremony in Anahuac officials gathered to make it official.

Chambers sheriff Joe LaRive says the group will be a big help to investigators who have to deal with crimes coming from Houston all the way through East Texas.
