CITY OF BEAUMONT EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT

The City of Beaumont is still under a Mandatory Evacuation Order. The curfew order is also still in effect. The curfew hours are from 8:00 pm to 6:00 am. Businesses should close early enough to ensure that their employees and patrons are able to return home prior to the curfew. Law enforcement are strictly enforcing the curfew and anyone out during the curfew hours is subject to investigation and possible arrest.

Under the Emergency Powers signed by Mayor Becky Ames and adopted on September 11, 2008, the sell or distribution of beer, wine, liquor or any alcoholic beverages of any kind within the city limits of the City of Beaumont is prohibited until further notice.

Grocery stores, restaurants and any business selling or serving perishable food must be inspected by the city’s Public Health Department prior to opening. They can contact public health at 980-7266.
