Operation Blessing Arrives

Patrick Vaughn

The 700 Club's "Operation Blessing" - a disaster relief program has arrived in Southeast Texas.

The program's goal is to help residents pick up the pieces from Hurricane Ike and alleviate human suffering.

Some of the services they provide are serving hot meals, tear out carpet and dry wall, and hurricane debris removal just to name a few.

The volunteer organization is taking work requests at Cathedral in the Pines in Beaumont located at 2350 Eastex freeway between 9AM and 5PM.

Local volunteers are needed - go by Cathedral to sign up.

Operation Blessing is in charge of coordinating all volunteer help in Bridge City.
