Gary is a multi market award winning television weather forecaster from Shreveport, La.

Gary grew up in his hometown of Shreveport.

He is an alumnus of Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, La. majoring in education; He shortly there after entered the United States Air Force during the Vietnam Era to serve his country.

Assigned to the Air Weather Service, he was trained at Chanute AFB in Rantoul, Ill.

Stationed initially in the Republic of the Philippines, he finished his tour of duty at NORAD (North American Aerospace Defense Command) in Colorado Springs, Colo.

His first television weather forecasting position was with KMOL (NBC Affiliate) in San Antonio, Texas.

In less than three years, he made it to Dallas, Texas, providing morning weather forecast for the number one rated WFAA (ABC Affiliate).

He left television for a number of years to pursue other interests and joined KBMT-TV part time last summer, providing weekend forecasts before joining the weekday evening news team in May 2007.
