A native of Southeast Texas, Patrick grew up camping and fishing in the area. As a kid, Patrick always said he wanted to become a meteorologist.

After graduating from West Brook, he attended Lamar University and then transfered to Texas A & M, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology.

Patrick has worked for television stations in Southeast Texas and Southwest Louisiana for the past twelve years.

His wife Katrina also studied meteorology at A&M. It truly was a "match made in heaven."
