Dave Hofferth came to Channel 12 in 1998 after 20 years in radio as news and sports director at KLVI radio...most notably in sports, as voice of the Lamar Cardinals, football, basketball and baseball.

Dave also hosted weeknight sports talk show "Sportsline" for 15 years, plus morning sports updates.

In 1997, Dave was named to the Lamar Cardinal Hall of Honor for his many years of service in doing play by play for the university.

Dave started his play by play career in high school basketball and enjoyed anchoring KLVI's Friday night football coverage before moving to Channel 12 to be the main anchor of the "Sports Blitz".

While not in the studio, Dave enjoys the outdoors, golfing and camping, and long bike rides, but not that long, and attending college football games.
