Shane Doyle is a morning reporter who joined the 12 News team in October 2009.

He grew up in Houston, Texas where he went to school at the University of Saint Thomas. He graduated with a degree in Broadcast Communications. While in college, he spent two semesters interning at KTRK 13 ABC in Houston, covering both news and sports.

Shane has spent the last 1-1/2 years as a reporter with the ABC affiliate in Yakima, WA. During that time he has covered everything from Plane Crashes to the state fair.

He is an avid sports watcher, and considers himself a "die-hard" Denver Broncos and Los Angeles Lakers fan. Shane likes to swing the clubs at the driving range and go wakeboarding when he can. Music, however, is his favorite thing. He says his idol is John Lennon.

Shane is excited to be back in Southeast Texas and proud to call himself a Texan once again. Having grown up in the area, he looks forward to crawfish season every year.
